Comstor Security Initiative Helps Keep Christmas Safe from Ho Ho Hackers

Partners learn more about security solutions and can win great prizes by keeping Santa’s workshop safe from Evil Toys Inc.

CIRENCESTER, UK – 06.12.18:
The Comstor Security Initiative team has identified a vulnerability at Santa Claus’ global workshop that puts it in danger of being exploited by hackers employed by Evil Toys Inc.  Comstor is requesting partners join the fight to defeat those intent on blocking and disrupting the spread of joy and cheer this Christmas.  By participating, partners will be able to test, and improve, their knowledge of Cisco Security solutions, sharpen their security deployment skills and have a chance of winning some great prizes.  A Meraki MX68CW with a 3-year Advanced Security License, Umbrella Insight 3-year License for 10 users, 1-year access to the Cisco Training Website and Comstor Security Initiative merchandise are all up for grabs to those most successful in keeping the Christmas Non-Profit Organisation safe.

Daniel Hurel, Comstor VP Cisco Security Sales Europe, said: “The Comstor Security Initiative features security specialist teams in every country focused on ensuring more partners profit from Cisco’s advanced security solutions.  We’re a year into our mission now and the close engagement the CSI teams provide has proved to be hugely successful as we see our partners grow faster than the market.  Christmas sees a huge uplift in online activity, so by having some fun through gamification, we reinforce the importance of maintaining the right security posture, help partners improve their security knowledge and show how Cisco solutions address the challenges faced by all organisations.  Nobody wants to see evil win, so we are delighted to give partners the chance to help CEO Santa Claus and CTO Holly Claus succeed in their operation.  Children the world over are relying on us.”

The Comstor Security Initiative, launched in January 2018, covers the whole of EMEA.  Headed by a Security Architecture Lead, local dedicated teams provide those partners looking to start, grow or extend their Cisco security capabilities with an unrivalled suite of dedicated Cisco Security resources.  Engaged partners benefit from: business planning and market assessment; sales, mentoring and account management; training and certification; Proof of Value deployments; marketing and demand generation; technical & pre-sales; managed service and installation deployment. The package of support available is tailored to the specific aims and current security capabilities of each partner, and the Westcon-Comstor professional, global deployment and supply-chain services teams are primed to provide further support.
